Drowned DesertThis item is not currently for sale. in early 2023 tropical cyclone Isla brought significant rainfalls across the Eyre Creek and Georgina River catchments across central and north western Queensland. Over the following months a deluge of water collected around the town of Bedourie as it slowly made its way down the channel country into Lake Eyre. The resulting flood drowned the desert with an inland sea.
