The majority of the handles are made of the wood type Hickory which is strong and flexible. Some individual models are from copper beech. The shafts are impregnated with warm linseed oil and beeswax, which increases the quality of the shafts. Both splitting axes and the Outdoor Axe feature a metal guard to protect the handle.
