Juicy SalifThe Juicy Salif lemon squeezer by Philippe Starck is probably Alessi's most iconic product. Designed in 1990, the design for the controversial kitchen utensil was sketched onto a pizzeria napkin by Stark whilst dining on holiday in Italy. Alberto Alessi famously referred to the juicer as a 'big joke', playing with the idea that beautiful form should always follow function. Celebrated by some and criticised by others the Juicy Salif certainly serves
