This unit was developed at the suggestion of David Morrison to circumvent the various troubles encountered with electric control of overdrive units using the stock 12 volt control via a solenoid on the overdrive unit. The solenoid is modified such that a brass bushing guides the end of the control cable. The control cable then presses against the end of the spool in the overdrive
