Perfect!
Format: Paperback
This is such a cute way to prepare for traveling. This will keep kids engaged and learning on trips. We purchased a few different ones for our various trips. This is most definitely a great investment. Elementary age kids approved

Good book for children, an abundance of information
Format: Paperback
This book is ideally for children who will be traveling to London. It's very packed with information and places to visit, almost to an overwhelming way.
The book starts with a fill-in section for children to fill out who's traveling and how they're getting there. It follows with some information and history of London, including a mention of Hamleys Toy Store (I wished they had put more about Hamley's in there -- it's one of the largest toy stores in the world!). It delves into how you could get around in London-- by Bus, Tube or Taxis.
It continues with the array of tourist attractions that you can visit in London, starting with Buckingham Palace. The list includes the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, the Gherkin, the House of Parliament, and Trafalgar Square. It mentions the numerous theme parks, zoos and aquarium that you could visit. For children that enjoy a real scare, the book mentions the London Gundeon and London Bridge Experience, which could actually be too scary for children (there are actors there with mock-chainsaws that chase you!).
Towers the end, it informs you about the London Eye -- essentially, a large version of a Ferris Wheel. I would say that this should go towards the beginning of the book because it should be one of the first things done to better see where everything lays out in the city. The book mentions shopping spots, including Oxford Street, Bond Street, Knightsbridge, Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, and Piccadilly. I had wished they mentioned the Camden Markets -- where there is great street food and you can bargain for your souvenirs. Camden was an essential part to my shopping list.
The book also mentions the numerous museums and theaters that London have. It's impossible to mention all of them, but it hits the children-focused ones.
The book tries to involve the children in the abundance of information it has. Like I said, it's almost overwhelming, but London itself is quite overwhelming. There's no way to be able to inform anyone of London without this much information, so this book is manageable and great for children. They could have focused a bit more on some items, but then they'd leave out other items. It did a good job trying to level out the fight of quantity vs quality amongst the tourist attractions mentioned.

A Child's Guide to visiting London
Format: Paperback
I bought this as a Christmas present for my 12 year old granddaughter as she will be traveling to London this summer. It seemed perfect in describing places to visit and things to do. She was very excited to look at it.
