It never shifted and I did not have to adjust it. However, the bulging sand pockets on my back, pressed against my shoulder blades and were a little bit bothersome, but not painful. I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I have purchased 5 rucking vests from 4 different manufacturers and this one, along with RuKSTR are the best. Unfortunately, RuKSTR does not make a 24+ lb weighted vest. This is a powerful tool to have in your workout arsenal. The vest is made well; exactly as pictured and described.
